Oh yes, it’s not just a simple ambulance car from the 80s, this is more than that!
This project started as an experiment to see how CRC handles weight distribution during real time gameplay. Long story short, we already know Invictus-Games has put all their effort into a super realistic physics and the masterminds behind the game, used complicated mathematical formulas to get the perfect simulation.
So? Bodyroll. Okay, not something very complicated. But can the game do it on the other axis and simulate a wheelie dragster?
Yes, it can! And now you can try it yourself, too!
This vehicle is a Ford E350 Econoliner Ambulance car from the 80-90s. The idea came from the famous TV series called Monster Garage, aired in the early 2000s when they actually picked this heavy rock and transformed into a wheelie monster. Must have been not an easy job for them, neither for me adding it into Cross Racing Championship. But luckily one of our favorite game developer, Invictus-Games has done it already in an official Monster Garage game, back in 2003.
So like I said, I was so satisfied with the results and the vehicle was so fun to drive! Why not to complete it and release as a 3 in 1 package?
Yes! You can have the stock ambulance car, a mid-engined version and the wheelie machine, it’s all up to you! Just make sure you combine these options with the right setups.
